The UT387A detector is particularly useful for detecting studs and profiles behind a plasterboard wall.
It can also be used on floors and chipboard. The device detects a sudden change in the thickness of the material, which is shown on a LCD display and also indicated with a buzzer.
Edges of studs and profiles can be precisely marked this way.
The detector also alerts you whenewer metallic objects and power lines are present, which are dangerous when drilling. You can select the detection mode for thin materials (plasterboard) or for thick materials (chipboard, floor).
